Dear George,
Received letters + papers yesterday, Xmas day. It was a lovely clear day here, but it was cold. We went to Lydia’s Uncle’s for the day yesterday, + had a jolly good time, but I had to go to work today, boxing day. 7-30 a.m, that is 10-30 Xmas night in England. Cheerio. Eric.
